National Insurance Commission redeploys directors, announces movement of supervision directorate

The National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) has announced changes in its management cadre as efforts to reposition the Commission for better service delivery gather momentum.

A statement signed by ‘Rasaaq ‘Salami, Head, Corporate Affairs of the NAICOM said a  total of 23 other Staff in the rank of Assistant Director and below have also been redeployed, stressing that “all transfers are with immediate effect.”

The statement said “further to efforts aimed at repositioning the Commission for better service delivery, management of NAICOM has announced the following changes in the headship of Directorates and Departments.”

Some of those affected in the reorganisation are: Mr. Olufemi Oba, previously Director Supervision, but now Director, Finance & Accounts; Mr. Barineka Thompson is now Director, Supervision from his former position of Director Inspectorate, while Mr. Pius Agbola, who was Director Authorisation and Policy is the new Director Inspectorate.

Also, Mr. Leonard Akah, former Head, Corporate Governance is the new Acting Director Authorisation and Policy; Mr. Ahmad Adamu has been moved from Head, Enforcement and Compliance to Head, Complaint Bureau; Mr. Monday Faruna Adaji who was the Head, Inspectorate Lagos, has been moved to Head, Internal Audit, and Mr. Kamal Barde, former Head, Internal Audit is the new AD Supervision.
