Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar of Bauchi State has approved the appointment of six special advisers.
The appointments were contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Muhammad Nadada Umar.
The new special Advisers are; Maijama’a Mohammed Mato – Labour, Alhaji Sani Shehu Shehu, Inter-Party Relations, Barrister Abdullahi Aliyu -Development Partners and Donor Agency Projects Supervision.
Others are; Kawu Labaran, Political, Abdullahi Matori, Assembly Liaison and Alhaji Musa Adamu, Inter-Government Relations.
According to the statement, the governor also approved the appointments of Director General of the State Information and Geographical System (BAGIS) and board members of the Water and Sewage Corporation.
The newly appointed board members of the state Water and Sewage Corporation are; Engineer Rabi’u Diori Abubakar, Chairman, Engineer Aminu Aliyu Gital, Managing Director and the Permanent Secretary in the state Ministry of Water Resources.
Other members of the board are; Dr. Umar Alka and Hajiya Maryam Garba. Baba Abubakar Sulaiman was appointed as the Director-General of the State Geographical Information System (BAGIS).
The statement said the appointments are with immediate effects.
