Nasarawa Govt commits to boosting education

The Nasarawa State Government says it is committed to improving the standard of education in the state through its various education policies and programmes.

Hajiya Fati Sabo, the state Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, stated this in Karu when she paid a visit on the Chairman of Karu Local Government Council of the state, Mr Samuel Akala.

Sabo said that the state government was focused and determined in order to improve on the standard of education sector.

The commissioner told the council boss that she was in the area to visit schools as part of the state government commitment towards an improved standard of education.

” I am here to visit schools so as to see things for myself and to address any challenge, if discovered.

” His Excellency, Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s administration is committed to the education sector due to the importance of education to societal development.

“This is evident on the ongoing massive constructions and renovations of classrooms across the state.

“No country or society would achieve meaningful development without sound education, hence the need of my visit to schools to ensure that the right things are done,” she said.

Sabo called on parents to give adequate priority to the education of their children for societal development.

She also called on stakeholders and other people of the state to support Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s administration to enable him succeed in the task ahead of him.

Responding, Akala appreciated the commissioner for the visit and assured of his administration’s commitment to prioritise the education sector.
