Benin Republic University Rewards Senator Wamakko

The ESAE University (Ecole Superieure D’ Administration D’Economie, De Journalisme  Et Des Metiers de l’Audiovisuel), in Benin Republic, has conferred a Honourary Doctorate Degree,  Doctors of Science, Honoris Causa   in Leadership and Community Development on the immediate past governor of Sokoto State, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko.

This was contained in a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Bashir Rabe Mani, issued to newsmen in Sokoto.

The statement said that the Degree was conferred on the Senator representing Sokoto North Senatorial District at an elaborate ceremony in Cotonou, the Capital of Benin Republic.

According to the statement, the conferment of the degree on Senator Wamakko who is also the Chairman, Senate Committee on Basic and Secondary Education, was jointly conducted by the President and Founder, Professor Clement Adeoti Adechian, as well as Professor Albert Nouhouay, President,  Scientific Council of Benin Republic.

They said that the degree was conferred on Senator Wamakko in recognition of his outstanding contributions to community development. 

They also described the federal lawmaker as an astute and consummate leader, as well as a seasoned administrator.

In his acceptance speech, Senator Wamakko commended the University for finding him worthy of the award.

The Marafan Hausa stated that the honour would encourage him to do more in respect of all aspects of national development and urged the institution not to relent in recognising other eligible persons for similar awards.
