Boko haram: UNHCR, borno govt. Distributes shelter kits to 2000 idps in konduga

Borno state Government in collaboration with UNHCR launches the distribution of 2000 Shelter Kits to 2000 beneficiaries in Konduga

Borno state governor, Hon. Kashim Shettima was in Konduga on Thursday to officially launch the distribution of 2000 Shelter Kits to 2000 beneficiaries to assist them towards rebuilding their house which was destroyed as a result of the Boko Haram insurgency in the state.

The Governor charged the beneficiaries to judiciously use the money and building kits donated to them and thanked the UNHCR for their foresight.

In his welcome remark, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, the Commissioner for the Ministry of Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Resettlement said about N100 million was earmarked for distribution to 2000 beneficiaries.

He further stated that the items to be distributed include 4 bags of cement, 2 bundles of zinc, 4 packages of nail and assorted woods and the sum of N30,000 each to beneficiaries who are selected from Konduga, Gwoza, Bama, Damboa, Mafa and Dikwa.
