Buhari Should Leave Lasting Legacy – Rimin Zayam

A stalwart of the People Democratic Party PDP Alhaji Bashir Bukar Rimin Zayam has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to leave a lasting legacy by ensuring the success of oil exploration in the north, dredging of River Niger and to complete the Ajaokuta Steel Rolling Mills project.

Rimin Zayam who made the call while speaking with newsmen on the 57th Independence anniversary in Bauchi, said “there is the need for  President Muhammadu Buhari to deploy more Political will and ensure that oil search in the northern part of the country is successful and to do more in Ajaokuta Steel  Company and complete the dredging of River Niger which was started during the regime of late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua, if Buhari complete these three  projects in addition to returning of trains, he will leave a genuine legacy that will address unemployment, poverty and it will boost the socio economic development of the North and the country at large”

The PDP chieftain urged Northern Nigeria Governors, Ministers and other Political appointees from the North to do more for Northern Nigeria in their effort to provide socio economic development in the country.

He said “at this period many people from the North were appointed to key offices but regrettably, many of them are adamant reluctant not doing enough to bring development to their areas and they should unite and help the President to succeed in these three areas, if they fail to do that, they didn’t help the northern Nigeria”.

Bashir Bukar who is among the founding fathers of PDP and a onetime Bauchi State Publicity Secretary of the party said time is going with many appointees having nothing to show in their various constituencies.

He advised Nigerians to continue to pray for peace and stability of the country and called on leaders to be more patriotic and do everything possible to alleviate the hardships faced by the masses that made a historic sacrifice that brought Buhari led APC to power.
