Edo 2020: group endorses ex – NDDC boss —- Saturday Uwulekhue

Ex – Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, man, Saturday Uwulekhue, has been endorsed as the choice candidate of social cultural and advocacy for good governance group, Pleasantry Network for the Edo State gubernatorial race in 2020.

Uwulekhue is a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Orhionmwon Local Government Area of Edo State.

Mr Timothy Osagie, the Public Relations Officer, PRO, of the group made this known to newsmen in Benin City.

He described Uwulekhue as well qualified to contest for the 2020 governorship election in the state, as the group is satisfied with his performance.

He enumerated some of the achievements of Uwulekhue while a commissioner in the NDDC.

He added that during Uwulekhue’s time as chairman of Orhionmwon Local Government Council from the little allocation from the federal government, he was able to employ over 362 workers in the Council; gave scholarship and bursary to students; built health centers and market stalls; gave grants to market women and reconstruction of dilipidated schools.

In the aspect of sport development in Orhionmwon Local Government Council, Mr. Osagie recalled that Uwulekhue provided sports equipment to many schools, he also organized sports competition in order to catch them young and sponsor some of the youths abroad for international games.

He asserted that all these achievements of Uwulekhue compelled the network to call on him to contest for the gubernatorial position in Edo in 2020.
