All is set for the hosting of the triennial National Delegates Conference of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, (NAWOJ) scheduled to hold in Benin City, the Edo State capital beginning from 17-19th May, 2017.
A statement by the Chairperson, Edo state chapter of NAWOJ, Flora Bossey revealed that female journalists from the 36 States of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja are expected at the event which will be declared open by the Governor of Edo state Mr Godwin Obaseki.
According to the statement, hosting of the event will create opportunity to showcase the rich culture and natural resources of the State.
While welcoming delegates from across the country, the statement added that, “adequate arrangements have been made to ensure security and a pleasant stay in Benin City by the Women Journalists, some of who will be coming to Benin City for the first time.”
She expressed profound appreciation to Edo State Government and other corporate organisations and individuals who made it possible for Edo to host the Conference
