Elections: Yoruba community urges losers to support winners to build Nigeria

As winners in the recent elections collect their certificates of return, the Y

oruba Community Development Association (YCDA), in Jos, has urged the losers to support them in the task of building a stronger and more prosperous nation.

The association made this call in a press release jointly signed by its Chairman, Mr

John Ogunmola and Secretary, Mr Taiye Adesola, on Thursday in Jos.

YCDA called on all the contestants to collaborate to build better infrastructure across board irrespective of political ethnic, cultural, tribal or religious differences.

“As a people, we want to call on all and sundry to be collectively engaged, and participate fully, in infrastructural development so as to drive industrialization of Plateau and Nigeria,” the statement said.

YCDA also appealed to people in areas where elections were declared inconclusive by INEC to conduct themselves peacefully and be orderly during the process.

The Chairman said that YCDA in Jos had been actively involved in advocacy by asking people to obtain their P VCs, vote the right candidates, and be obedient to constitited authority.
