Faces and Forms Opens for 2nd Edition in Abuja

The second edition of Faces and forms a juried Contemporary Art Exhibition organized by Zenith Contemporary Art Gallery opens in Abuja.

According to a statement by the organizers, the artists in this art Exhibition will explore the interpretation of the human form and facial impression in telling stories that relate to their unique experiences, environment, communities, society and the world.

The statement added that the works on the exhibition will touch on salient issues using different mediums like painting, collage and sculpture.

This second edition of the exhibition will feature seven artists comprising of 6 males artists and a female artist that are taking up the challenge of awaking the emotions and sensibilities of the society through art.

The statement noted that artists showcasing their works are unique from different schools of art and thought, they display a high level of mastery in their works and interpretation of the theme.

They are full time practicing artists dedicated to their craft and successful in their own rights.

Apart from Millicent Okocha who is the only female artist based in Abuja, the other exhibiting artists will be coming in from Lagos. They include, Timi Kakandar, Chuks Okonkwo, Adediran Adeyinka, Promise Onali, Godwin Arikpo, and Olajumoke Lateef.

The Exhibition Pavillion, Beside International Conference Center, Central Area, Herbert Macauley Way, Garki, Abuja, F.C.T. Nigeria is venue of this second edition holding between October 10th -12th, 2019 with an opening Reception to hold 5.00pm on the Thursday.
