Gov Ahmed Mourns Oba Bolanta

The Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed has described the death of the state chairman APC Elders forum, Alhaji Suleiman Oba Bolanta as a bitter pill to swallow in view of the deceased’s immense contributions to the development and growth of the APC and the state in general.

According to the governor in a condolence message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Abdulwahab Oba, Kwarans would particularly miss the fatherly advice and mentorship of the late politician.

Governor Ahmed noted that the Late Oba Bolanta was a seasoned public administrator who, during his life time, occupied several positions including state chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers and local governments party chairman during the defunct National Party of Nigeria.

Governor Ahmed who prayed Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljanah fridaus, urged the family and close associates of the deceased to take solace in Allah emphasising that death is an inevitable end which every soul must experience.

The Late Suleiman Oba Bolanta died on Saturday after a brief illness at the age of 88.

He has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
