HRM Lady Evelyn Balogun emerges BAMA Philanthropist of the Year

 

Her Royal Majesty, Lady Evelyn Balogun has emerged the Bayelsa Merit Award, BAMA Philanthropist of the Year 2019.

The award was presented at a colourful award ceremony held over the weekend in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital.

Lady Evelyn Balogun, who is the President/Founder of the HRM Evelyn Balogun Foundation, HRMLEF a leading humanitarian non-governmental organization in Niger Delta is focused on providing assistance to vulnerable people in society.

While receiving the award, Lady Balogun noted that since the inception of the foundation, she has focused on touching the lives of several persons from diverse backgrounds and places.

It will recalled that the foundation recently embarked upon one-week tour of various medical centres in the Niger Delta to donate medical equipments.

While on the tour, she footed the bills of in-house patients that could not afford their medical expenses in the different hospitals and not limited to primary healthcare.

Through, the foundation, Lady Balogun has provided enormous scholarship opportunities for children both in primary and secondary schools in Bayelsa State as well as outside the state.

BAMA award is presented to individuals after an online voting process that have selfless contributed to the development of Bayelsa State and the society at large.

This is the reason, the Royal Amazon is voted the philanthropist by the general public as a woman who deserves the award because she offered humanitarian services to indigent person in society.

Her slogan is ‘changing lives, one at a time.”
