The Kaduna State Contributory Health Management Authority (KADCHMA) has identified and enrolled additional 8,810 vulnerable persons into the state’s contributory health scheme.
The Director-General, KADCHMA, Mr Aliyu Saidu, said that the identification and enrollment exercise cut across 17 local government areas of the state.
“We will complete the remaining three local governments soon so that all the vulnerable persons in the state can enjoy the scheme.
“Earlier this year, the authority had identified and enrolled 1,243 vulnerable persons in three pilot local government areas, that is, Igabi, Sanga and Kubau,” he said.
Saidu said that the exercise recorded huge success, with the assistance of stakeholders in the state.
He commended council chairmen, traditional title holders and other relevant stakeholders for contributing immensely to the success of the exercise by creating an enabling environment in their various areas.
The director-general said that the authority was looking forward to more assistance and collaboration with them as it would soon cover the remaining three local government areas.
He also appealed to residents of the state to enroll into the scheme to enhance good health care delivery.
