The official commissioning and formal handing over of the new secretariat donated to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara state by the Gobir organisation will come up on Saturday, February 2, 2018.
The secretariat is located at Number Six, Asa Road, GRA, Ilorin.
The event will begin at ten o’clock in the morning.
Among dignatories expected to grace the occasion are the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, who would be the special guest of honour, Alhaji Bashir Bolarinwa, the host at the event and Mallam Abdulraman Abdulrazaq would be the chief host while other prominent members of the party would also be in attendance.
The well equipped party secretariat was donated by a former gubernatorial aspirant of the party in the state, who is also the Waziri Hausa, Alhaji Yakubu Gobir.
Waziri Yakubu Gobir, who said he donated the secretariat as part of his contribution in ensuring the success of the party at all levels, urged all party faithful and supporters of the APC in the state to work assiduously to ensure total victory for the party at both the state and national levels. By doing so, he said, Kwara state would enjoy more dividends of democracy from the Buhari-led administration.
He cautioned against returning the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) back to power after a 16-year misrule, saying that the PDP has nothing good to offer the people.
