Newly inaugurated Governor of Kogi Alhaji Yahaya Bello has  paid glowing tributes to his predecessor, Captain Idris Wada of the PDP, for his cooperation towards a successful transition.

Bello told the excited party supporters during his inauguration on Wednesday , That wasn’t services to Kogi shall be cherished always, while calling on him to cooperate with the new Government.

Bello promised changes in Kogi state even as he declared zero tolerance for corruption. Bello said the task ahead of his government is enormous and he will immediately swing into action to right the wrongs of the past, especially the non payment of Salaries of workers.

Meanwhile, true to his earlier threats, James Falake, the supposed deputy Governor of Kog, mate to the late Prince Abubakar Audu in the celebrated inconclussi kogi , stayed away from today’s swearing in which took place in L a vow to fight on.
speaking through his SA Media and Publicity, Duro Moseko, Falake said he was aware of plans to use his name as a cover for the obvious constitutional lacuna in the drama, stressing that, he has a mandate legitimately given to the Prince Abubakar Audu/ Falake joint ticket and he will not abandon it.
Describing   the swearing as a charade, he said he is waiting to see how Bello will justify a mandate greater part of which he did not participate in.
While promising to abide by whatever the interpretationn the matter will be, Falake alleged that the table was upturned against him because some people were not comfortable wiith his  rising political profile, “we owe this mandate God and our people, we shall fight on until we retake our stolen mandate”,
