The Wife of the Niger state Governor, Dr. Amina Abubakar Bello has debunked reports making rounds in the state that she is fielding a candidate for the one of the positions in the election of the Niger state chapter of the National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ).

In a press statement by her Press Secretary, Aisha Wakaso, Dr. Bello said she is not involved in any form of unionism in the state and has disassociated herself from any involvement in the selection of NAWOJ executives in the state.

She said that she wished members of the state NAWOJ the best in their election and encouraged them to ensure the right thing is done in the election of the association executives.

The statement warned that no person or group of persons should go around using the name of the Wife of the Governor in a bid to achieve his or her political gains.
