A governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Shuaibu Yaman Abdullahi, has urged Nigerians to remain committed and steadfast in prayers for Nigeria in her bid to remain the pride of the African continent and make the country a better place for all to live.

The guber aspirant in his Democracy Message, signed by his Director Media and Publicity , Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, rejoiced with Nigerians on the nation’s 58th independence anniversary celebrations and enjoined them to be more patriotic .

Yaman also felicitated with President Muhammadu Buhari for his incorruptible leadership qualities which had kept the nation to remain a united and indivisible entity despite numerous challenges posing threat to her unity.

He, however, charged the electorate to be focused and careful in choosing their leaders in the forthcoming general elections.

He said: “For Kwara State to remain economically viable among comity of states in the country, there is urgent need to adopt holistic approaches in tackling issues such as youth empowerment , wealth creation, infrastructural development , even execution of projects among regions and most importantly, promotion of principles of equity, justice and fairness.

“It is not rocket science to accomplish all these. It requires great sacrifices , honesty, sincerity of purpose, steadfastness, sense of accountability as well as visionary tendencies from God-fearing leaders which is currently lacking in our state, Kwara.

“I have therefore offered myself to restore the lost dignities and pride of our dear state and also ensure that Kwara State indigenes stand shoulder to shoulder with indigenes of other states or even better than them in all ramifications. And I want to assure you that on no account or any guise will I steal your money because ours, is a call to service for the benefit of the masses.”

While eulogising the virtues of Nigeria’s founding fathers, Alhaji Shuaibu Yaman said : “The labour of our Heroes shall never be in vain”, even as he appealed to party faithful to support his aspiration in the forthcoming governorship primaries and beyond.
