Oba Ewuare Sets Up Customary Committee To Resolve Traditional Cases

The Oba of Bini Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku-Akpolokpolo Oba Ewuare N’Ogidigan 11 has set up native customary committee to settle disputes in the kingdom

This came on the heels of several cases of inheritance among family members, border tussles between communities, and other traditional matters across villages that require monarch’s attention in the kingdom

According to Oba Ewuare 11, the native/ customary committee is to resolve traditional disputes ranging from inheritance, land cades, border issues and other communal matters.

Omo n Oba , made it known when he played host to members of Edo state NUJ at his palace in Benin city, led by its chairman, Mr Roland Osakue.

Omo N’Oba stressed that the main aim was to facilitate effective course of justice in the kingdom,

The monarch maintained that part of the move was also to correct the erroneous belief by many of delaying of matters at the palace when reported, as well as restoring confidence and trust on the people which were in systemic decay

The customary administration committee will serve as supreme authority over other dispute resolution committees in the kingdom

Omo N’Oba also, further praised the state government for supporting the Palace stance on CDAs abolition, noting that plans were on to divert youths attention from land speculation and thuggery in kingdom

He promised to sustained palace relationship with the media

Earlier the chairman Mr Roland Osakue told the monarch the the media in the state will develop editorial content that will mobilize support for the palace

Mr Osakue hailed the effort of the Omo N’Oba for his developmental strides within few months in office, added that plans are on to build a multiples complex that will be named after the transited oba

The royal father also used the occasion to pray for the protection for all journalists in the state
