By Steve Oni, Ilorin

Former President, Pan African Youth Union, Comrade Ben Duntoye, has enjoined the youth participating in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Primary coming up this weekend in Port Harcourt, Rivers state capital, to vote en masse for the candidacy of the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki.

Duntoye, who is also the Chairman, Nigerian Youth Leaders Congress, in an interactive session with journalists in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital, on Wednesday said Nigerian youths should support Saraki to emerge the presidential candidate of the PDP.

He said electing Saraki as PDP’s flagbearer for the 2019 presidential election “will make us achieve the Nigeria of our dreams as Saraki will reset a good foundation for the nation.”

Duntoye described Saraki as a detribalised Nigerian whose presidency would ensure the return of unity and tranquillity to the country.

The activists added: “Young people coming to Port Harcourt should give Saraki their votes. This will make us achieve the Nigeria of our dreams as saraki will reset a good foundation for the nation.Unity, peace and tranquility will return.Saraki is a detribalised Nigerian. He is a bridge between the old and young, new and older generations. He is experienced and matured.

“Saraki’s track record as kwara governor, chairman Nigerian Governors Forum and as Senate President of Nigeria stands him tall above other PDP presidential aspirants.

” Nigeiran youths have not surfered like they did under the current administration of President Muhammadu Buhari. Millions of our teaming youths have lost their jobs. Their small scale businesses have collapsed because of harsh policies of government.”
