Peace has been described as panacea to sustainable development of Every nation, wife Hajiya Salamatu Almakura said this while receiving wives of commissioners,female commissioners and wife of the secretary to the state government , Hajiya Lami Umaru Azores in her office in Lafia.
She said as women’s the are saddled with responsibility of achieving unity, love and peaceful lifestyle of every society.
She further explained that women’s are home makers, peace builders and gate way to meaningful development, progress of every nation, adding that peace starts from every home.
Hajiya Salamatu Almakura Observed that as daughters they are helpers to parents, friends and guardian above all companions to their partners also as mothers they are teachers and shapers of their children.
The Nasarawa state first Lady, used the visit to call on mothers to be conscious of Lassa fever pandemic and avoid its spread by ensuring all domestic items are been kept in a proper way this will prevent people from contacting the deadly disease she add.
Hajiya Salamatu Almakura emphasised the need for mothers to champion the crusade against dirty environment for the overall interest of hygienic atmosphere in their respective homes.
She appealed to them to continue to give the present administration all the necessary support deserved so that together they can move and fulfil the yearning and aspirations of founding Fathers who sacrificed their lives for the actualization of Nasarawa state.
Hajiya Salamatu Almakura expressed worries on ways and manners parents fail to send their girl children to school to acquire both western and religious education despite government pronouncement of free education to all citizens and non indigenes of the state.
However said that she is going to be in the fore front, leading other women to the state assembly so as to influence lawmakers to enact a law that will compel parents to send girls to school and that will halt hawking during school hours very soon.
Earlier the leader of the delegation commissioner of Women Affairs, Eunice Kigbo told the first lady of the state that they are in her office to pledge support and to offer prayers to her and the governor ,Umar Almakura for God’s guidance.
The wife of Nasarawa state governor, Hajiya Salamatu Almakura held similar meeting with the wives of the assembly members also wives of permanent secretaries are expected to paid same visit next week.
