Public and Community health student crown Miss Bayelsa 2020 in Grand Style

 

Tamaraperefegha Abiri has been crowned Miss Bayelsa 2020 in a keenly contested competition in Yenagoa.

The 18-year-old Ekeremor-born Queen emerged winner amongst other 10 girls who contested for the prestigious Miss Bayelsa 2020 crown after a week-long camp over the weekend.

The event which was graced by political class, business tycoons, international NGOs, family, friends, and well-wishers was at a different class since the inception of the contest 20 years ago.

Miss Abiri, a 200-level student of Public and Community Health at the Novena University, Ogume, Delta State, said her parents inspired her to contest for the presitigious crown.

According to the Beauty Queen, she was inspired at the age of 16 to pursue a career in modelling but excited that her dream has come to pass as she turned 21 as she is crowned a Queen and addressed as a ‘Her Majesty’ during her first outing.

Also, an indigent of Brass LG, Ghandi Biobelemoye was the first runner-up and crowned Face of Bayelsa 2019/2020, while Kimberly George, 2nd runner up, crowned Bayelsa Cultural Ambassador and Queenette Charles who made the top 5 was crowned Most Beauty Girl In Bayelsa.
