Mark Useni,representing Takum 2 state constituency, has again return as Taraba State Houseof Assembly, this followed the confirmationof the State Election Petition Tribunal ruling which ordered a re-run in someunits of the immediate past Speaker, Abel Peter Diah, the Appeal Court. nationalTRAIL learnt that Dr. Useni,who was speaker during the seventh assembly, was this Thursday afternoon, in aunanimous decision voted to preside over the house, which has been without aproper speaker since the ouster of Diah.MajorityLeader of the house, Mr Albasu Kunini, moved the motion nominating Useni, andwas subsequently seconded by Mr Joshia Aji of Wukari 2 constituency and theentire house, which had 22 out of the 24 members supported the nomination.In hisacceptance Speech, Useni, who is also from the same local government with thegovernor, thanked God for again choosing him among many to lead the house.He then pledgedto lead the house to make laws that would support the rescue mission of Gov. Ishaku,whose case is still pending at the Supreme Court, in order to bring aboutpeace, unity and rapid development.The newspeaker, also said the house would quickly consider the 2016 appropriation billthat was before it, so as to make way for infrastructural development of thestate. The Househad adjourned in December shortly before the Court of Appeal sitting in Yolanullified the election of the former speaker, and has remained on recess sinedie, throwing up allegations of executive interference.
