Former Ogun state governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel has said he is committed to rebranding the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) to ensure victory for her, if given the mantle of leadership.

He stated this in Benin City at the weekend during a visit to the Edo State Chapter of the party where he informed members of his intention to run for the national chairmanship position of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Daniel who scored the current government ‘F9’ in economic growth and security stressed the need to rebrand the party to win future elections both at the grassroots and federal level.

He said the ruling All Progressive Party (APC) has not achieved anything tangible to win the 2019 election, particularly as the President Mohammadu Buhari led APC government has failed in the fight against insecurity.

According to him, “the missing Chibok girls are still not found, herdsmen are killing people daily and ravaging parts of the country and the alarming cases of kidnap among others across the country is a sign of a failed government.”

He sued for the support of party faithful to ensure his emergency as national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party( PDP) for a better and a rebranded PDP.

Daniel while calling on all and sundry to back the party and his candidature in the struggle to take over government at the grassroots and to be victorious in the general election for 2019, said PDP when rebranded will grow the economy of the country, reduce the poverty and hardship the APC government has allegedly brought to Nigerians.

In his speech, Edo State PDP chairman, Dan Orbih appreciated the visit added that the party is determined to ensure a credible candidate emerged as its national chairman.
