Adeboye Storms Borno …Preaches Peace, Extols Gov
General overseer of the Redeemed Christain Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Adeboye has commended present and past Borno State Governors if Borno State for making appreciable progress despite the security challenges.
He was speaking when he paid a courtesy call on Governor Babagana Umara Zulum at the Government House, as part of his gospel tour of the state.
He told the State Deputy Governor, Umar Usman Kadafur who sat in for state Governor Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, that the story would have been better had there been peace in Borno State
Ad boye who was in Borno state with his team to pray and declare the peace and blessings of God upon the state, said, he was impressed with the situation on ground now.
Kadafur, the Deputy Governor in turn commend the team for their foresight in opting for prayers as a spiritual war fare for peace and blessing and urged them to sustain the tempo.
He said their contribution to the state in the areas of skill acquisition programmes and provision of hospital equipment especially kidney dialysis machine will greatly assist in the state effort on rehabilitation and resettlement.
The redeemed Christian Church according to the iverseer has assisted the state with skill acquisition centre to help youth train and become self reliant as well as provision of hospital equipment among other items.
The redeemed Christian Church overseer later presented the state governor and his deputy with gifts which was presented through the deputy governor by his wife while inturn the deputy governor recieprocated with the presentation of the three verdict compendium of governor Zulum achievements to the overseer .
Investigations by Nigerian Concord Newspaper reveal that the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Shippers Council, Mr. Pius Akutah, has allegedly misappropriated public funds for a lavish lifestyle.
According to our findings, within months of assuming office, Akutah allegedly purchased a bulletproof SUV valued at approximately N850 million. In addition, he is reported to have acquired over twenty exotic SUVs for use as a convoy.
Akutah is also said to have acquired multiple high-value properties, including three in Abuja’s Maitama and Asokoro districts worth over N2 billion, and two in Lagos’ Banana Island valued at N1.8 billion. These acquisitions appear far beyond the scope of his official salary and allowances.
Further investigation suggests that Akutah may be using public funds to support political ambitions, including allegedly grooming militants across 23 local government areas in Benue State for a potential 2027 gubernatorial bid.
Staff of the Shippers Council reportedly claim that Akutah frequently accesses the council’s treasury without proper authorization. Some insiders have indicated that a petition will soon be filed with the EFCC, ICPC, and the Presidency to report his alleged misconduct.
