Daddy Freeze has addressed the controversy surrounding actress Kate Henshaw’s Father’s Day message, which sparked mixed reactions online.

Henshaw shared a Bible verse in her Father’s Day greeting, wishing all responsible fathers strength, favor, and blessings from God. Her message read: “The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice, and he who sires a wise child will have joy in him. Proverbs 23:24 AMP. Happy Father’s Day to all the responsible fathers here. God’s strength, favor, and blessings will continue to abound.”

However, the use of the word “responsible” triggered criticism, with many netizens noting its absence in her Mother’s Day message and perceiving it as a pointed remark.

Reacting to the controversy in the comment section of a blog post, Daddy Freeze explained that some men are unable to fulfill their responsibilities due to financial, health, or other constraints beyond their control. He emphasized that it isn’t always their fault.

Daddy Freeze further noted that women can sometimes contribute to a man’s inability to fulfill his fatherly role. He wrote, “Kate is right; as a father you need to be responsible. However, there are good men out there who can’t afford to be responsible for financial, health, or other reasons, so it’s not their fault. Many women are also the reason why some men are irresponsible. If you destroy a man psychologically, emotionally, and financially, you can’t expect magic, can you?? The scriptures quoted also cut both ways.”
