Rapper and actor Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has expressed his admiration for filmmaker and actress Funke Akindele, calling her one of the most hardworking entertainers he has encountered in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
In a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo, Falz reflected on his journey with Akindele, which began with their on-screen collaboration in the hit sitcom “Jenifa’s Diary.” He shared that Akindele initially reached out to him on social media to invite him to join the show, a moment that marked the start of their professional relationship.
“Big shout out to Funke Akindele. I remember she had reached out to me, maybe by Instagram or something, saying she had seen some of those videos and wanted me to be a part of something she was working on,” Falz recounted. He noted that at the time, “Jenifa’s Diary” was just an idea, as the show had not yet been launched.
Falz emphasized that he has not come across another entertainer in Nigeria who works as hard as Akindele. “I don’t think I’ve ever crossed paths with any other entertainer in this country that is more hardworking than she is,” he stated.
He further praised Akindele’s exceptional work ethic and dedication to her craft, highlighting how her passion inspires those around her. As the duo prepares for their upcoming project, “Everybody Loves Jenifa,” the entertainment world eagerly anticipates the magic they will create together.
