Arsenal forward Kai Havertz has expressed satisfaction with his decision to leave Chelsea for the Gunners two summers ago. Reflecting on the move, the German international described it as one of the best career decisions he’s made.
Now in his second season at the Emirates Stadium, Havertz has become an integral part of Mikel Arteta’s squad, aiming to secure silverware this season. His transfer, which cost Arsenal a reported £65 million, surprised fans, given his mixed reception during his Chelsea tenure.
Despite past criticisms, Havertz made a lasting impact at Chelsea by scoring the winning goal in the 2021 UEFA Champions League final. Speaking to Sky Sports via Tribal Football, he shared his enthusiasm about life at Arsenal:
“For me, it’s the best thing I could have done. I’m so happy with the support of everyone who has helped me during my time here,” he said.
