“Kizz Daniel and Tekno Clash Over ‘Buga’ Royalties”

By Milcah Tanimu

Nigerian music sensations Kizz Daniel and Tekno found themselves at odds after a social media post alleged that Kizz Daniel had been sharing revenue from the hit song “Buga” with Tekno.

The controversy erupted when a post on X claimed that Tekno had revealed in an interview that he received a share of the earnings from “Buga” without any legal agreement. According to the post, Tekno stated that Kizz Daniel sent him 50% of the revenue generated by the song, amounting to close to a billion naira after the Buga tour, along with monthly payments from streaming platforms.

Tekno swiftly denied these claims on the same day, stating, “Him money no reach. anybody wey put out that fake interview, thunder fire your mama…”

However, nearly two weeks later, Kizz Daniel responded to Tekno’s denial with a sarcastic comment, implying that Tekno was speaking nonsense. In turn, Tekno fired back, warning Kizz Daniel to be careful.

This clash between the two artists comes amidst an ongoing online feud between Wizkid and Davido. Wizkid had thrown shade at Davido, leading to a series of cryptic tweets from Davido believed to be responses. The exchange escalated, with both artists trading jabs and dismissing each other’s achievements.

The public spat between these music giants has captivated fans and observers, sparking discussions across the Nigerian entertainment industry and beyond.
