:
By Stephen Olufemi Oni, Ilorin
No fewer than 55 people in the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Muritala Mohammed Way, Ilorin, the Kwara state capital, have been empowered with various working tools worth N20m by the Oluwole Foundation
The Items include Keke Napep, industrial machines, laptops and deep freezer, while some other beneficiaries were given cash to boost their businesses.
Speaking at the 10th year empowerment programme of the Oluwole Foundation, the foundation, Chairman of the Foundation, Pastor Moses Popoola, noted that God did not create human beings to be beggars, but to be active, creative and productive, saying that informed the establishment of the Foundation.
To succeed in life, Pastor Popoola stressed the need for the people to be of faith, adding that “with faith, if you stand you will not fall and you will get to where God destined for you and no devil or demon can stop you, but you can stop yourself if you don’t do the will of God.”
Pastor Popoola, who decried the attitude of political leaders in the country, accused them of being self-centered and loving only themselves to the detriment of the people who elected them
He said: “Nigerians are so religious but we don’t know God, we need good leaders who will have the fear of God and also love the people unlike what we are experiencing now in the country.
“Our political leaders are self-centered, we need leaders who will act according to Gods will, leaders who are not ethnic jingoists and religious biased.”
Speaking on the Muslim Muslim presidential ticket, the cleric, who opined that the idea is not good because of the sensitivity and volatility of religion in the country, however, urged political parties and leaders to ensure that they produce quality leaders who will live above board.
The Chairman of Oluwole Foundation admonished the beneficiaries to judiciously use the items for the purposes meant, while calling on well-meaning individuals and corporate bodies in the country to also remember the less privileged ones by empowering them to make them break even. .
One of the beneficiaries, Senior Apostle Yinka Popoola, applauded the Foundation for the love, assistance and support promising, on behalf of the beneficiaries, to make judicious use of the materials.

Pius Akutah’s Alleged Fraud at Nigerian Shippers Council Uncovered
Investigations by Nigerian Concord Newspaper reveal that the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Shippers Council, Mr. Pius Akutah, has allegedly misappropriated public funds for a lavish lifestyle.
According to our findings, within months of assuming office, Akutah allegedly purchased a bulletproof SUV valued at approximately N850 million. In addition, he is reported to have acquired over twenty exotic SUVs for use as a convoy.
Akutah is also said to have acquired multiple high-value properties, including three in Abuja’s Maitama and Asokoro districts worth over N2 billion, and two in Lagos’ Banana Island valued at N1.8 billion. These acquisitions appear far beyond the scope of his official salary and allowances.
Further investigation suggests that Akutah may be using public funds to support political ambitions, including allegedly grooming militants across 23 local government areas in Benue State for a potential 2027 gubernatorial bid.
Staff of the Shippers Council reportedly claim that Akutah frequently accesses the council’s treasury without proper authorization. Some insiders have indicated that a petition will soon be filed with the EFCC, ICPC, and the Presidency to report his alleged misconduct.
