Pay-TV operator MultiChoice Group has officially rebranded its SuperSport channels on DStv and GOtv. The changes took effect on October 9, 2024, as announced by Tope Oshunkeye, Executive Head of Marketing at MultiChoice West Africa.
Key Changes to DStv and GOtv Channels
As part of the rebranding initiative, the current SuperSport Select Channel has been renamed SuperSport Africa. Additionally, a new channel, SuperSport Action, has been launched, featuring a wider range of sports content, including UFC matches and more Champions League games.
On GOtv, the following updates have been made:
- GOtv Jinja and Jolli Packages: SuperSport Africa replaces Select 2 (Channel 64).
- GOtv Max Package: SuperSport Africa and SuperSport Africa 2 replace Select 1 and Select 2 (Channels 63 and 64).
- GOtv Supa and SupaPlus Bouquets: SuperSport Action replaces Select 3 (Channel 69).
Oshunkeye stated, “The channel revamp is part of our ongoing efforts to enhance our sports offering and provide customers with unbeatable sports content.” He emphasized that the new channels will deliver top sports action globally, including local boxing and UFC events, along with comprehensive analysis tailored for the African audience.
MultiChoice remains committed to providing premium services, with Oshunkeye saying, “We are dedicated to delivering the best sporting action to our customers while continuously exploring ways to delight them with more choices and exciting live content.”
Subscribers can easily subscribe, reconnect, or upgrade their packages through the MyGOtv App or by dialing *288#. They can also enjoy their favorite sports on the go using the GOtv Stream app.
