The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced a record-breaking revenue generation of ₦6.1 trillion for the year 2024, marking a 90.4% increase compared to ₦3.2 trillion collected in 2023.
Bashir Adeniyi, the Comptroller General of the NCS, revealed the achievement during a press conference held in Abuja on January 14, 2025. He emphasized that the service exceeded its 2024 revenue target of ₦5.07 trillion by 22%.
Adeniyi also highlighted the peak revenue collection of ₦603 billion in October 2024, which contributed significantly to the overall success.
“This unprecedented performance in 2024 saw the NCS generating ₦6.105.315 trillion, surpassing the revenue target by 22%,” Adeniyi stated
