The Oyo State Government has successfully integrated former market traders into the revamped Bola Ige International Business Complex in New Gbagi, Ibadan. This announcement was made on Tuesday by Adeniyi Adebisi, Commissioner for Trade, Industry, Investment, and Cooperatives, with the statement also endorsed by Dotun Oyelade, Commissioner for Information and Orientation.
Adebisi confirmed that the redevelopment project is complete and former traders have been accommodated in the government-designated sections of the market. He noted that the ministry had worked to ensure that qualified former occupants were incorporated into the newly developed space.
The commissioner highlighted that there have been no complaints from traders regarding the project or the developer, indicating a high level of satisfaction with the redevelopment efforts. He emphasized that the state government has consistently supported traders through infrastructure improvements, financial access, and training programs.
Adebisi reiterated the government’s dedication to economic development and trader empowerment, stating that the redevelopment of the Bola Ige International Business Complex reflects this commitment. He also encouraged those who have not yet benefited from the government’s initiatives to engage with the ministry.
