We Have No Room For Corruption, Fintiri Warns New Appointees.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has reminded chairmen and members of commissions of boards and parastatals of the existing zero tolerance posture of his government for corruption and the need to exhibit commitment to promote and sustain the age long culture to enhance accelerated development of the state.
Performing the swearing-in ceremony of Chairmen and Members of Boards and Commissions in Yola, the Adamawa State capital on Thursday, the governor said that no any form of corruption will be tolerated by his government and warned that anyone found in the act will be shown the way out.
According to him, “transparency and accountability are non-negotiable. Any form of corruption will not be tolerated, and those found guilty will be shown the way out.
“You must fully understand our administration’s vision and goals. I urge you to thoroughly digest our 8-point agenda and be guided by it.
“We must embrace transparency, accountability and innovation to drive progress.This has been the hallmark of our administration since coming to office.
“The progress we have made today is a result of sacrifices and commitment to leaving a legacy of hard work and determination to bequeath a better future for the next generation”.
He further reminded them that the work ahead of them is enormous and clear, emphasizing that his administration is committed to addressing the economic challenges facing the people.
The governor charged them to come up with innovative contributions to help alleviate the development challenges of the state and congratulated them over the new assignments, saying that their appointment and choice for the assignments was based on their proven integrity, capacity, loyalty and pedigree.
The governor said that the cream of supporters who accompanied them at the event is a clear demonstration of their support and confidence in their abilities to deliver, emphasizing that such support should not end in vain or disappointments.
The governor urged them to “thoroughly digest our 8-point agenda and be guided by it. We are determined to change the narrative of how things are done. We must embrace transparency, accountability and innovation to drive progress.
“Let us work together to build a better Adamawa State, where everyone has a sense of belonging and to write a new chapter in our state’s history defined by progress, inclusivity, and good governance”.
