Yobe Gov Moves Against Deputy

  • May Get Him Impeached Over Perceived Ambition

For apparently letting his boss perceive his future political ambition too early in the day ahead of the 2019 governorship race in Yobe state, Engineer Abubakar Bello, Alli, the Deputy Governor of Yobe State may have fallen out of favour with his boss, Governor Ibrahim Gaidam.
NationalTRAIL investigations reveal that, the deputy governor may be in trouble as Governor Ibrahim Gaidam is not comfortable with the political maneuvers of his deputy, who is perceived as a likely successor to him in 2019, and may have perfected plans to mastermind his impeachment at the state House of Assembly.
Our correspondent reports that, the deputy governor may soon get an impeachment notice, except he falls back into line, as the governor was said to have told some of his political associates that it was unbecoming for his deputy who he allege that has began moves towards 2019, when the administration is less than a year into the renewed mandate.
Investigations reveal that, Engineer Bello, a title holder of the Jarman Potiskum, and younger brother to the late Governor Mamman Alli, may earn his boss’ wrath for initiating some political activities, suggesting that he will be the next governor of the state, even as he is said to be heating up the polity too early in the life of the administration.
Our correspondent gathered that, Governor Gaidam has his own favourite candidate for the job, which he is keeping close to his chest, and his deputy’s perceived ambition poses serious threats to his own plans for the state come 2019, hence the moves to get him out of the way, if only to ensure the governor have his way when the chips are down.
Efforts to speak with the spokesperson to Governor Geidam, Abdullahi Bego was not successful as he neither respond to his calls, nor replied enquiries via sms sent to his phone.
