The Yobe State branch of the Health workers Association, has suspended propose plan for strike action.
The Deputy Governor, Hon Idi Barde Gubana, met with the representatives of the leadership and where an agreement was reached for the suspension of the strike.
During the emergency meeting, members of the Health workers Association led by the chairman Dr.Umar Ahmad Aliyu, presented their demands to the state Government.
In his response, the Deputy Governor explained the state Government would look into their demands which includes Conmess, Conhess and Harzad Allowances by the end of next month September 2024.
He also appealed to them to suspend and resume their humanitarian work as Doctors.
He reiterated the fact that their services is valuable and commendable as they save lives of thousands of people in and around the state.
Hello called on the members to continue giving their support and maximum cooperation to the government of Yobe state for the interest of the citizens.
