Anti-Kidnapping Squad Rescues Four Girls

A Joint Special Anti-kidnapping Squad of military and police have rescued four young girls abducted by a gang of kidnapers in Kaduna State.
Kaduna has experienced series of kidnappings in recent times with the abduction of over four young boys within a space of one month. One boy was later found in neighbouring Zamfara state without eyes.
But a statement signed by the Spokesman to Kaduna State Governor, Samuel Aruwan said the girls were rescued after a successful raid by the squad in Kateri area of Kachia local government of the state.
“The security squad that was detailed to follow-up came under fire from the kidnappers, but the raid succeed in freeing the girls,” the statement said.
Aruwan said a notorious kidnapper, Abdullahi Ali, has also been arrested following information from the people of the area.
He said Mohammed Sani of Bakari village in Dutsin-Ma local government area of Katsina State was also arrested by Operation Yaki Surveillance Patrol team in a Joint Operation with the State Armed Robbery Squad of the Nigerian Police.
According to him, a gang of armed robbers had blocked the road along Gwagwada in Kachia Local Government Area robbing motorists of their valuables but a distress call from the victims received a prompt response from the police, leading to the arrest.
