Beune South Re-run: Mark Declared Winner

Former senate president, David Mark, has been declared winner of yesterday(Saturday) Benue South re-run by the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC).
Senator Mark of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), was declared winner having scored a total of, 84,192 votes, ahead of his closest rival Daniel Onjeh of the All Progressives Congress(APC),who pulled 71,621 votes in the election.
According to result announced by Prof. Ishaku Enigi, Mark who has represented the zone since inception of the current democratic era, won in five local government areas, out of the nine local government areas of the Benue South, while Onjeh, former president of National Association of Nigerian Students(NANS) won in the remaining four.
