Newlyinaugurated Governor of Kogi state,Alhaji Yahaya Bello, seems to have hit the ground running as he making hisfirst appointments barely 24 hours after he assumed office.Bello has appointedEdward Onoja as Chief of staff while Alhaji Abdulkarim Abdulmalik is hisSpecial Adviser on Media and Strategy.Ina statement personally signed by Governor Bello, issued to newsmen in Lokoja onWednesday, Mr Kingsley Fanwo was announced as the Chief Press Secretary (CPS)to the Governor.Whilepaying special tributes to the appointees, governor Bello described Onoja, thenew Chief of Staff, as a tested administrator who rose to managerial positionsin several blue chip companies in financial, and oil and gas sectors, throughdint of hardwork..OnAbdulmalik, the Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, the statement said he was,prior to his appointment, a seasoned journalist, social media expert and media consultantbased in Abuja.Thenew CPS who hailed from Takete Ide Amuroin Mopamuro local government area of the state, was until his appointment theLokoja Correspondent of the Vanguard newspapers.Whilecongratulating the appointees, Bellosaid their appointments take immediate effect even as he demanded “utmost commitment’’ and “humbleservice’’ to the people in line with his vision for kogi state.
