Inflation in September declined to 15.98 percent from 16.01 percent recorded in August.

Data released in Abuja Tuesday by the National Bureau of Statistics show that core inflation reduced marginally to 12.1 percent from 12.3 percent observed in the period under review.

However, despite the downward trend recorded in both the headline and core inflation, food prices continue to skyrocket with food inflation hitting 20.32 percent in September from 20.25 percent recorded in August.
