New executive members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara state have been inaugurated.
A state counsel, Barr. Olanrewaju Afeez administered the oath of office on the 36 members of the state executive and 16 local government chairmen of the party.
Speaking during the brief swearing-in ceremony, the state chairman of the party, Hon. Isola Balogun-Fulani, advised new members of the executive to carry along every member in order to move the party forward.
He also admonished the party leaders to embark on reconciliation among members of the party where and when necessary to assuage feelings of any aggrieved member.
The APC chairman also charged the new executive members to be accountable and transparent in their dealings, saying their performance in office would attract more members to the party.
He described forthcoming 2019 general elections as a crucial one in the state, calling on them to work for the success of all representatives of the party in the elections.
All the 36 members of the state executive and 16 local government chairmen of the party were sworn in at the ceremony which held at the State party Secretariat in Ilorin, the State capital.
