N-Power Registration: Bauchi targets 37,000 applications

Bauchi state is targeting about 37,000 applications across the state in the ongoing N-Power registration exercise.
The state focal person and the Special Assistant to Governor Mohammed Abubakar on Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), Mansur Manu Soro disclosed this in a statement on Friday.

He said the state has also increased the number of free registration centres to 27 ‎in order to ease the process for the applicants.
According to him, 29,433 ‎applicants had already registered for the programme across the state between13th June – 27th June 2017.
Soro informed that a ‎breakdown of the applications received indicates that‎ Bauchi Local Government has the highest applicants with13,797 while‎Itas Gadau Local Government has the lowest with only 214 within the period.
He informed that the ongoing ‎registration exercise will close on 13th July 2017 and the application is limited to graduates, National Certificate of Education (NCE) and Ordinary National Diploma (OND) holders.
He further informed that sensitization campaigns will be vigorously carried out in all Local Government Areas within the week which will involve all stakeholders which include traditional and religious leaders, National Orientation Agency (NOA) officials, Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and Local Government Authorities (LGAs).
