Waziri Ngeri Title: Aides Laud Saraki’s Appointment, Thank Emir

By Steve Oni, Ilorin

The Forum of Legislative Aides to the Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has described the appointment of their principal as Waziri Ngeri by the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari as well deserved.

The forum noted that the elevation of Saraki from Turakin Ilorin to Waziri Ngeri, the highest honorary traditional title in Ilorin Emirate was in recognition of his unequalled passion for the development of the Emirate and Kwara state as a whole.

In a statement signed by the Kwara Central Coordinator of the Forum, Alhaji AbdulRasaq Oba Bolanta, the legislative aides praised the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari for honouring Saraki with the enviable title.

The Forum also noted with delight the clean bill of health issued the Senate President by the Minister of Justice and Federal Attorney-General, Mallam Abubakar Malami over the April Offa bank robbery.

It restated its belief that Saraki was innocent of allegations levelled against him by the Nigerian Police over the unfortunate robbery incident.

The forum advised Saraki’s adversaries to leave him alone and stop concocting unfounded allegations against him to achieve a political end as God, the Almighty, it said, would continue to exonerate him and shame his enemies.

It assured the Senate President of the continued loyalty and support of the legislative aides and prayed God to further elevate him to a higher political office.
