Zamfara APC lauds Buni-led Caretaker Committee for repositioning party

The Zamfara chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has commended the Gov. Mai Mala Buni-led National Caretaker Committee for its efforts at repositioning the party.
The APC Chairman in the state, Alhaji Lawal Liman, gave the commendation in Gusau on Friday while commenting on the party’s planned nationwide membership registration, update and revalidation exercise.
Liman noted that the Buni-led committee deserved commendation, as it had succeeded in resolving the crises bedevilling the party in many states in the country.
“The initiative by the Buni-led committee to address the party’s challenges has started yielding results.
“The entire APC members in Zamfara are behind the current moves by the committee to move the party forward.
“I am calling on APC members, especially in Zamfara, to support the current APC leadership to reposition the party and take it to greater heights,” Liman said.
He also cautioned the party members in the state against anti-party activities, saying that APC had zero tolerance for such activities.
Liman called on APC members in the state to embrace peace and unity so that the party could sustain its strength in the state.
“You are all aware that the party’s NEC meeting few months back, led by President Muhammad Buhari, had resolved that all members with pending court cases should withdraw their cases in order to ensure peace and stability in the party”, he said.
He also said that some members in the state who violated the APC NEC resolution had already been disciplined by the party leadership at both the state and national levels.
Liman fingered the Peoples Democratic Party-led government in the state as being behind the crisis rocking in the party.
He called on the people of the state to disregard those claiming to be APC members but who were working to disrupt the peace and stability of the state.
