A 41-year-old man, Emmanuel Ndifreke, who allegedly circulated nude pictures of a woman on Thursday appeared in a Yaba Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.
The police charged Ndifreke with unlawful capturing and circulation of nude pictures.
He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Prosecution Counsel, ASP Rita Momah, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on April 5, within the Lagos magisterial district.
She alleged that the defendant released the nude photos of Miss Mercy Waidi on social media, this humiliating her.
The offence, she said contravened the provisions of Section 58(c) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties each in like sum.
Olatunbosun adjourned the case until Sept 20.
