Kwara Assembly urges Kwarans to always alert the House of impending disaster

Kwara State House of Assembly, has urged the people of the state to always alert and channel their grievances to the House to avert disaster and ensure amicable resolution of grievances and crises in the state.

The House gave the advise on Thursday in Ilorin while considering a Report of the House Committee on Land and Urban Development on a Matter of General Public Importance, titled “Letter of Complaint over plot of Land for proposed Filling Station”

The Speaker, Engr. Yakubu Danladi Salihu, while reading the Resolution of the House, explained that the alert by Ifesowapo Community Association went a along way to avert impending possible inferno and enjoined the people of the state to emulate the proactive step of the community.

He pointed out that the 9th Legislature would continue to make people of the state the fulcrum of its legislative activities.

The House, according to the Speaker, laid the Matter to rest, since the developer of the said Filling Station, Alhaji Adio Suleiman, had categorically stated that he was no longer interested in going on with the project.

The Chairman of the Committee, Hon Felix Awodiji, had while presenting the Report, observed among other things, that the community did not want petrol station in the said land, and no official application for assessment and approval for the construction of the said filling station had been made to any of the approving stake holding agencies.
