**EndSARS Protesters Remain Detained in Lagos Prisons Three Years After – Amnesty International**

arrested during the 2020 #EndSARS demonstrations are still being arbitrarily detained in Lagos prisons, three years after the events. The international organization stated on Friday that the majority of these individuals are held without trial in Kirikiri Medium Correctional Centre and Ikoyi Medium Security Correctional Centre. Amnesty accused the authorities of levying false charges such as theft, arson, unlawful possession of firearms, and murder against these protesters. Among those detained are individuals like Daniel Joy-Igbo, Sodiq Adigun, and Olumide Fatai, with some having been held since 2020. Amnesty International Nigeria’s Director, Isa Sanusi, condemned the authorities’ disregard for human rights and due process, demanding the immediate and unconditional release of these detainees.*
