2019 Election:. Revolution To Librate The People , Jennifer Atiku Abubakar
By Ikhili Ebalu, City
Dr. Jennifer Douglas Atiku Abubakar, wife of the presidential candidate of the People s Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday called on Edo Women to see February 16 presidential election as a day of revolution to liberate the people of this country especially the women and the youth from poverty, hunger, neglect, mass killings by herdsmen and general insecurity in the country.
She said her husband, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’s government would tackle the issues of insecurity, mass killings, hunger, healthcare and economics currently bedeviling the nation with all available weapons when elected as the president of the nation comes February 16.
Mrs Abubkar, disclosed this at a special town hall meeting with the Edo Women with the theme: “Let’s talk” held with the women’s wing of PDP in Benin City.
“There are some issues I want you to consider come February 16 when selecting your presidential candidate.
” For Edo people, we have inquired, we have researched and that we aware that you have issues with security, you have issues with healthcare and there are issues with economic and this is general across Nigeria.
“To remedy this, we need to vote for the right candidate and who is the right candidate? Atiku Abubakar.
“So it brings me to the reason why we are here today. It is few days to the elections”, she said.
Mrs. Atiku said for Nigerians to put an end to the myriad problems confronting the nation, they should vote her husband and should not sell their votes.
While encouraging Nigerians to turnout in their large numbers to vote, she said democracy being a leveler gives room for both the rich and the poor in the society to decides who governs them adding that based on its importance, voting apartheid must be discouraged in order to have a better society and a better country.
“Democracy is a leveler, the rich has one vote while the poor has one vote but the fact is that a huge segment of our society do not vote.
” They do not come out to vote for one reason or the other. But you know one thing, the people that go to vote are the youths and the women.
“Findings tell us that the highest votes come from 18-35 years old and so, it is important that will cultivate these votes and that is why, the Atiku/Obi incoming government has promised a certain percentage for the youths and the women.
“If we decide we are not going to vote, we are wasting our right, is that not?
“What happens then? It means that will allowed our rights to be trampled on by whosoever that is in government”, he said.
The wife of the PDP presidential candidate further urged them not to be deceived by name callings targeted to smear the image of her husband who has meant well for the country.
Mrs Margaret Obi, wife of the vice presidential candidate in her Contribution berated the APC for accusing the PDP of creating the problems that are afflicting the country. She said those in APC today are all from the PDP fold and as such they have no reason to criticize PDP because they were the one who created the problem and ran to APC.
She called on Edo Women to vote Atiku/Obi ticket to rescue the country from going into extinction as a result of hunger, insecurity and herdsmen killings.
Hon. Omosede Igbinedion in her speech revealed that a visit to the IDP camp in Edo where over 3000 children who lost their parents as a result of insecurity in the Northern part of the country was enough evidence why APC should be rejected in the next election.
She said she accompanied Mrs. Atiku to the camp where she was shedding tears because of what APC has done to this country in terms of insecurity and urged Edo Women to vote out APC.
Mrs. Josephine Anenih in her speech called on Edo Women to embark on house to house campaign to mobilize women to vote Atiku and Obi on February 16.
” You should move from house to house, market to market, Church to Church and every available place to mobilize women to vote Umbrella for Atiku/Obi on February 16″.
Chief Dan Orbih in his speech called on Edo Women to wait after voting to secure their vote by accompanying their vote to the collation Centre. End

Pius Akutah’s Alleged Fraud at Nigerian Shippers Council Uncovered
Investigations by Nigerian Concord Newspaper reveal that the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Shippers Council, Mr. Pius Akutah, has allegedly misappropriated public funds for a lavish lifestyle.
According to our findings, within months of assuming office, Akutah allegedly purchased a bulletproof SUV valued at approximately N850 million. In addition, he is reported to have acquired over twenty exotic SUVs for use as a convoy.
Akutah is also said to have acquired multiple high-value properties, including three in Abuja’s Maitama and Asokoro districts worth over N2 billion, and two in Lagos’ Banana Island valued at N1.8 billion. These acquisitions appear far beyond the scope of his official salary and allowances.
Further investigation suggests that Akutah may be using public funds to support political ambitions, including allegedly grooming militants across 23 local government areas in Benue State for a potential 2027 gubernatorial bid.
Staff of the Shippers Council reportedly claim that Akutah frequently accesses the council’s treasury without proper authorization. Some insiders have indicated that a petition will soon be filed with the EFCC, ICPC, and the Presidency to report his alleged misconduct.
