Dr. Haruna Garus Gololo, an All Progressive Congress ( APC), Chieftain has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the appointment of Goerge Akume, as the Secretary to Government of the Federation ( SGF), Femi Gbajabiamila, the Speaker of the House of Representatives as Chief of Staff and Senator Hadeza Ibrahim as Chief of Staff and Deputy Chief of Staff respectively.

Gololo, the North East Coordinator of the Ahmed Tinubu Campaign for President in the just concluded election made the commendation at a press briefing in Abuja, on Tuesday, saying the appointment of the former Governor of Benue state have put to rest the out cry that trail the emergence of Tinubu and Shetima as Muslims.
” The appointment of Akume a former senator, a former governor who is a Christian as SGF has put an end to the fear of the Christians over the Muslim/ Muslim ticket”
Continue, he said that ” the appointment of Gbajabiamila and Senator Hassan as Chief of Staff and Deputy respectively is another masterstroke which the president should applauded for”

Gololo caution against the appointment of retired General as the National security adviser saying” going by feelers Nuhu Ribadu, the former Economic and Financial Commission ( EFCC), boss is being tipped for the NSA office, I will support the appointment of Ribadu as NSA, with his wealth of experience as anti graft czar, a senior police officer he will add value to that office because the appointment of retired General has in no way solve the problem of insecurity in Nigeria since 1999 till date”

He called on president Tinubu to probe the office of the NSA as billions of Naira voted for the office of the NSA must have been diverted and misaporpriated by the occupants of the office

” When the president visited the NSA office , the only the NSA could show him was the counter insurgence office, how does that justified and account for the billions Mongunu collected over the years?”

Similarly , the All Progressive Congress ( APC), Chieftain has caution against the emergence of Senator Abdulaziz Yari, as the president of the Senate as according to him among the contestants Yari , the former governor of Zamfara state possessed the least qualifications to occupy that office ” look at the line up of contestants for the office of the president of the Senate , Yari has the least qualifications, a diploma holder, while the current president of the Senate is a PhD holder.
Senator Akpabio, is a lawyer, a former governor and a senator, so you can see the combination of Akpabio and Senator Jibrin Barau , as the best for that office, while Hon. Tajudeen and Kalu, are among the best for the speakership and deputy speaker respectively”

” National Assembly leadership is too sensitive for a Diploma holder to occupy.
When did Yari, obtain the Diploma from Talata Mafara, some few years back as governor and he exhibited that trait when he dared the leadership of APC led by Adams not to enter Zamfara state. That is the character that wants to be president of the Senate, except we want to bring thuggery into the hallowed Chambers ”

He urged president Tinubu not to give in to the antics of former State Governors who are lobbying for appointment in the government as some of the could hardly justify their stewardship in their various states ” Many of the governor’s are lobbying for appointment, but we should ask apart from making their children, friends and relations members in the House of Reps, imposing successors what did they achieve, is it a heridity?”

” El rufai has been Director BPE, Governor of Kaduna state for eight years, he was minister of FCT, his son currently is a member elect, his bosom friend Uba Sani is the governor of Kaduna state, Ganduje was deputy governor, he became governor for eight years, he wanted to send his son to the House, but lost, Bagudu, has been senator and governor for eight years, lalong has been speaker, and a governor. What did they want?” He said

Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara, former Speaker of the House of Representatives and Chairman of the Board of National Credit Guarantee Company Limited (NCGC), has extended heartfelt felicitations to Muslims across Nigeria and around the world on the occasion of Eid El-Adha.

In his Eid message, Dogara described the festival as one of the most profound moments in the Islamic faith — a sacred season that embodies the enduring virtues of sacrifice, obedience, faith, and total devotion to God, as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (AS). He noted that beyond its spiritual significance, Eid El-Adha serves as a powerful reminder of the values of compassion, generosity, and love for humanity.

According to him, the celebration offers an opportunity for reflection and renewal, urging Nigerians to recommit themselves to the ideals of unity, peace, and mutual understanding. He observed that the true essence of Eid lies not merely in celebration, but in the willingness to serve others selflessly and uplift the less privileged.

“Eid El-Adha reminds us that greatness is found in sacrifice, service, and compassion for one another. It is a season that calls us to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, extend kindness to those in need, and renew hope for a better and more united nation,” Dogara stated.

The former Speaker stressed that the lessons of Eid should transcend religious and ethnic boundaries, especially at a time when Nigeria needs collective commitment to peace, justice, and national cohesion. He called on citizens to rise above division and work together in the spirit of patriotism and shared destiny.

“As we celebrate this sacred festival, may the spirit of sacrifice inspire us to build bridges of understanding, promote harmony across our communities, and work collectively for a more peaceful, just, and prosperous Nigeria,” he added.

Dogara further prayed that the blessings of Eid El-Adha would bring joy to families, healing to communities, and progress to the nation. He encouraged the faithful to use the occasion as a time for spiritual renewal, deeper devotion to God, stronger family ties, and renewed commitment to the common good.

“As families gather in prayer and celebration, may this Eid remind us of our shared humanity and our collective responsibility to serve with humility, love, and sincerity. May the Almighty accept our prayers and sacrifices, bless our homes with peace and happiness, and guide our nation toward greater unity and prosperity,” he concluded.

Dogara wished all Muslim faithful a peaceful and joyous Eid El-Adha celebration filled with divine blessings, love, hope, and renewed faith in the future of Nigeria.
