Ever since her separation from Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, May Edochie has been receiving an outpouring of love and support from fans both in Nigeria and across the globe.

Just a few days after celebrating her birthday, the mother of three found herself deeply moved by a heartwarming gesture from her devoted fans.

During her birthday celebration, which featured a charity event attended by renowned Nollywood actresses such as Uche Nnanna, Anita Joseph, and Rita Edochie, fans presented May Edochie with a staggering gift of N5 million. This generous contribution was made possible through the collaboration of actress Anita Joseph.

Overwhelmed with gratitude, May expressed that words could not adequately convey the emotions she felt when this incredible surprise unfolded. She marveled at the fact that she had never met or personally known any of these fans, yet they displayed an immeasurable outpouring of love towards her.

In her heartfelt message, she extended her prayers and appreciation to her supporters, acknowledging that this incredible gesture came about through the efforts of @patienceblogs on her YouTube channel (Patience Blog Official), in partnership with @realanitajoseph and @bella_jordie. She also thanked her followers and fans who had contributed to this touching act, singling out individuals like @emma.rolland2, Juliet Ogbo, Georgia Reid, Nancy okpara, Daniella in Germany, Davidgamz, and many others whose names couldn’t all be listed.

May Edochie closed her message by expressing her deep gratitude and offering blessings to all those who had made this momentous occasion possible.

This act of kindness is not the first time that Anita Joseph has gone to great lengths to support May Edochie. Last year, she organized a surprise birthday party for May, resulting in a gift of over a million naira. May Edochie described it as an unforgettable experience.

Additionally, in anticipation of May Edochie’s birthday this year, Anita Joseph had actively fundraised for May’s foundation, which is dedicated to helping the less fortunate. Together with a company, they also established a location for fans to contribute gifts in support of her noble cause.

This birthday held a unique significance for May Edochie, as it marked the first time she struggled to find the appropriate response to the festivities. Despite the challenges of the past year, which included the loss of her first son and a tumultuous marriage, she remains resilient and thankful for life.

In March, May Edochie experienced the profound tragedy of losing her first son, a heartbreaking event that left her grappling with overwhelming emotions. Later on, she also faced the dissolution of her marriage to Yul Edochie, which resulted in a divorce filing and a restraining order preventing him from accessing their former marital home.

Recall that Imisi revealed that she has no fixed plan for the grand prize if she emerges as the winner, stressing she would first seek professional financial guidance before deciding how to spend the money.

Abuja-Lokoja Highway Gridlock: FRSC Blames Motorists’ Impatience

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has expressed frustration over motorists’ lack of cooperation in easing the gridlock on the Abuja-Lokoja highway.

Kogi State Sector Commander, Kumar Tsukwam, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that officials had been battling since Sunday to clear the traffic, which stretched from Ogbobo/Ozi to the Murtala Mohammed Bridge in Koton-Karfe.

He attributed the gridlock to ongoing road construction, broken-down vehicles on the single lane, and motorists’ impatience.
“Some drivers blocked opposing lanes, worsening the situation. We are doing our best to restore free movement for travellers,” Tsukwam said.

Motorists and commuters lamented the hardship caused by the standstill. Mohammed Yusuf, a driver, said he spent nine hours travelling from Abuja to Lokoja on Sunday.
“I left Abuja before 3 p.m. but didn’t reach Lokoja until midnight. The fuel wasted on the road is unbearable, especially with current prices,” he said.

Another traveller, Christopher Adamu, recounted spending the entire night in traffic after leaving Abuja in the evening. He urged authorities to take urgent measures to address the situation.

NAN reports that a construction company is currently working on the right lane of the highway between Koton-Karfe and Abaji, forcing traffic onto a single lane and worsening congestion.

Nigerian singer and Nollywood actor, Chike Osebuka, has dismissed the idea of marriage, describing it as a “stupid step” while stressing that his happiness is tied to financial stability.

The 32-year-old artiste made this known during an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, where he revealed that he currently has no plans to settle down.

“In my personal opinion, I think it’s a stupid step to get married. For me to be happy, I need a lot of money. This is not even carnal—I just like money. I want money,” Chike stated.

Reflecting on his career, the singer admitted he never imagined music would become his profession until after completing university.

“I would say maybe right after my university, I knew music is what I’ll do for a living. Before then, I just used to sing and disturb everybody around me,” he said.

Chike also recalled enduring tough financial times early in his career, which pushed him into acting roles for about two years just to stay afloat.
