Social commentator Reno Omokri has praised the achievements of President Bola Tinubu within the last week. Omokri shared his commendation on his official X page on Wednesday, January 10, 2023.
Highlighting Tinubu’s accomplishments, he listed several actions taken by the President, including the suspension of an errant minister, summoning another minister over a controversial contract, reducing travel entourage, cutting costs, dismissing two CEOs of federal parastatals for gross negligence, and addressing the six-week degree-for-cash program by blocklisting Benin and other nations.
Omokri also noted Tinubu’s plans to build a new Chinese-built steel plant in Nigeria, the launch of the automated passport portal, clearance of ₦12 billion outstanding for the Super Eagles and other national teams, initiation of wage support benefits to civil servants, disbursement of ₦105.5 billion for 266 road repairs, and intervention to bring peace in Sierra Leone after a foiled coup attempt.
In his assessment, Omokri commented, “In one week, Tinubu has achieved what Buhari would have taken one year to complete. This vindicates what I said during the campaigns, that any of the major Presidential candidates would have been better than Buhari.”
